For Church & Worship
Traditional band and orchestra instruments typically take many years of study (if ever at all) until new musicians can meaningfully contribute and participate in a church or small group setting outside of a larger group like the band or orchestra. With a dedicated syllabus and targeted instruction, Living Music Studio aims to help performers be prepared to play in non-traditional environments (like a Praise team) as they gain a well-rounded foundation of their instrument’s fundamentals. Mr. Lynn has been helping musicians for decades to successfully extend and apply their talents beyond the method book and classical stage.

From the lush melodies to punchy, mesmerizing rhythms, stringed instruments add joy, depth, and great emotion to any ensemble. Gain a mastery of the instrument’s fundamentals while learning to connect to many styles, genres, and forms of music.

Brass & Woodwinds
Do you want to add the dramatic power and expression of the trumpet or French horn to your ensemble? Or, are you hoping to add the rich, soothing warmth of a flute, clarinet, or saxophone to your group? Gain the skills and confidence to incorporate these instruments into a modern church and worship or other small group context.

Guitar
Great tutorials to get a basic grasp of the guitar are available on just about every corner of the internet. But nothing prepares you better than dedicated, systematic instruction and practice. Master chords, strumming patterns, fingerpicking, and melody playing with Living Music Studio as you become a well-rounded church musician.

Class & Lesson Formats
Group Classes
One of Living Music Studio’s core pillars is that music is meant to be shared – not just in performance but even in its learning! You will join others as you pursue musical mastery through a wide variety of fun, learning activities, games, and experiences.
Group classes are preferred for all piano students through in early intermediate level prior to converting to private instruction. Group singing classes are also available. Other instruments may be taught in a group format as the need arises.
Flex Lessons (Asynchronous Video)
Living Music Studio maximizes technology to connect with musicians from a distance. Students receive a private online classroom where they gain 24/7 access to guided video instruction, weekly assignments, online games and learning activities with plenty of opportunities to connect with and build an ongoing relationship with Mr. Lynn. Students learn and complete assignments on their own time and schedule, avoiding the hassle of transportation and chaotic family schedules. This format is perfect for active families.
Students will utilize various forms of technology to assist them in their practice (Essential Elements Interactive, Match My Sound, Piano Marvel, etc., depending on instrument of choice). This accelerates progress to an even greater extent than traditional lessons. Musicians receive guided feedback throughout the entire process, from practicing to performance. Students submit 3 to 4 videos and/or audio recordings per week of their assignments.
Flex lessons support independence in learning as students gain one of the most important skills needed as a musician – learning how to practice effectively, which will catapult a lifetime of musical enjoyment. Students also gain valuable experience in self-reflection with guided feedback – skills that will benefit them far beyond the music room. This lesson format offers the opportunity for students to gain critical competencies using educational software and tools, in time management and meeting deadlines, as well as independent communication. Develop your child as both a musician and a learner, equipped for the 21st century.
Tech Requirements: A tablet, laptop or other internet enabled device (Smartphones are possible but not preferred), an adjustable tripod (for enhanced video capture), internet connection (Optional: A second device may be helpful for providing background, accompaniment audio) We are here to help you through every step of this process including learning and using your equipment to its fullest!
Private Lessons (In Person & Online)
Some students may prefer to study in an individualized setting, particularly those further advanced in their playing. We offer traditional one-on-one lessons that can best meet your growing musician’s needs. Lessons are available in both the in-person and online format for a wide range of instruments.
